Join us in a time and place where people used to congregate and listen to live music. Reminisce about bottles being knocked onto the ground as musicians struggle to remain upright under the heavy glow of stage lights. This track was recorded in this very setting at The Piston in Toronto.
When I asked if I could have a complimentary drink as the promoter organising the show, I was told that at the current capacity it just wasn't possible. It's business baby. Luckily being a corporate player of my own, I always keep two cans of the finest polish larger smuggled within my flight cases, so I didn't have to go thirsty on that cold harsh night.
For it was the World News - Black Cat release show. Little did we know that Descenending would be the last song that we would play live for over a year... just as we were about to tour our debut EP.
Alas, life was one cruel, cruel blow after another, until that is, that I listened back to this crappy zoom recording and remembered, just for a moment, what it feels like to be human.
